Brother Ali has always been a personal favorite of mine. He knows his place in the industry in that he will never blow up into superstardom and he is fine with that. Lyrically, he might be the best rapper right now. He had the number 1 ranked verse in 2008 by KN in his song “Second Time Around” featuring Wale in DJ Benzi’s New Deal mixtape. This EP comes after his critically acclaimed album entitled “The Undisputed Truth” released in April 2007 and does not disappoint. Most of the production is done by Ant and we all know Brother Ali is going to talk about himself and that is what he does best. The Albino Muslim rapper from Minneapolis (yeah, those exist) releases one of the best records of the year thus far.
